1996: Degree in Art History from Facoltà di Lettere, Università La Sapienza Roma. Thesis: La tavola del Sant’Agostino di Piero della Francesca nel Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga di Lisbona. Direction: Prof. Dr. Marisa Dalai Emiliani.

2001: Masters degree in Art History from Facoltà di Lettere, Università La Sapienza Roma. Thesis: La Collezione Burnay nel Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga di Lisbona. Direction: Prof. Dr. Marisa Dalai Emiliani.

20014: PhD. in Art History from Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas, Universidade Nova de Lisboa, with a grant from the Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia. Thesis: D. Dinis del Portogallo e Isabel d’Aragona in vita e in morte: creazione e trasmissione della memoria nel contesto storico e artistico europeo. Direction: Prof. Dr. José Custódio Vieira da Silva.

historical, cultural and artistic relations between Italy and Portugal (14th-19th c.); 14th c. Portuguese funerary sculpture; other topics of Medieval History and Medieval Art History; history of feminine Sainthood; Art and Architecture of the Teutonic Order; Italian painting of 15th-16th c.; history of art collecting (19th-20th c.); collecting of artworks of the Italian Renaissance in public and private collections in Spain and Portugal; history of conservation and restoration of artworks; museology.

 

Short profile

During the studies, carried out investigation in Italy, Portugal and Spain with several scholarships provided by Italian and foreign institutions.

Has contributed to several exhibitions as commissioner (Henri Burnay de banqueiro a coleccionador, Lisboa, Casa-Museu Anastásio Gonçalves, 27.11.2003-30.06.2004), author of essays and catalogue entries.

Has participated in various editorial and research projects in Italy and abroad, and has contributed to organize conferences and congresses, in Italy and in Portugal, the last one: International Conference on Cloisters in the Mediterranean World (10th-18th Centuries), Lisbon, Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga, June 20-22 2013.

Has presented papers in many conferences in Italy, Poland, Portugal, Spain and France.

She is author of many essays, articles and scientific publications in various languages.
